Word Game Guide
How to Find a Five-Letter Word When You Are Stuck
When you are stuck, the search has usually become too random. Turn the board back into a short list of confirmed positions, misplaced letters and excluded letters.
Put the strategy into practice
Play unlimited rounds, choose your difficulty and test the ideas from this guide in solo, multiplayer or team mode.
Reset the evidence
Write down green positions, yellow letters and rejected positions. Players often reuse a grey letter or place a yellow letter back into the same location without noticing.
Treat repeated letters carefully. If two copies were guessed and only one received a color, the answer may contain only one copy.
Build a word shape
Think in patterns such as _ A _ E R rather than searching the entire dictionary. Common endings, blends and consonant pairs reduce the candidate list quickly.
A probe guess can be useful when several answers share the same shape. Test multiple unused letters at once, even when that probe cannot be the final answer.
Use help strategically
Wurdella offers one clue during the early rows, with a points cost if you win. In multiplayer the clue stays private, which preserves the competition.
Start on an easier difficulty while learning these habits, then move upward when pattern recognition becomes faster.
