- More than 10 round points or a clue-assisted score above 3
- Impossible guess counts, negative time or implausible solve speed
- Repeated submissions for the same game session
- High-frequency automated play, replayed requests or altered payloads

Lifetime and weekly rankings
Lifetime points reward long-term play, while weekly points make it possible for newer or recently active players to compete on a shorter window instead of chasing an all-time total immediately.
Consistency
Daily and streak rankings
Daily Challenge and streak categories measure a different kind of performance from raw points: returning consistently and completing the shared daily word over time.
Skill
Speed and difficulty
Clue-free speed rankings highlight fast clean solves, while Default, Advanced and Expert tabs let players compare performance within the word bank they actually chose.
How verification works
The server checks the parts that determine the result
Verified play uses an account-backed game session with the hidden answer stored server-side. Submitted guesses are checked against the selected Wurdella word list, tile feedback is calculated on the server, the guess count is recorded there, and the final points are calculated from the verified win and clue state rather than accepted as a score typed in by the browser.
A clean solve earns 10 round points, a clue-assisted solve earns 3, and an unsolved board earns 0. Repeated submissions, impossible guess counts and other invalid result patterns can be rejected or reviewed before they belong in public rankings.

Do guest scores appear on the Wurdella leaderboard?
No. Guest results stay private to that browser or device and are not published in the global rankings.
What does verified mean on the Wurdella leaderboard?
Verified results come from account-backed game sessions where the server stores the answer, validates each submitted word, calculates tile feedback and records the final score.
What leaderboard categories are available?
Wurdella can rank lifetime points, weekly points, Daily Challenge results, fastest clue-free solves, longest streaks, multiplayer wins and performance by Default, Advanced or Expert difficulty.
Does using a clue affect my score?
Yes. A solved round is worth 10 points without a clue and 3 points after using the round's clue. An unsolved round earns 0 points.
Can I choose whether my country is shown?
Yes. A country indicator is only shown when a player voluntarily selects one for the public profile.
