Understanding the colored letters
A green tile means the letter is correct and already in the correct position. A yellow tile means the letter belongs in the answer but must be moved. An incorrect tile means that letter is not part of the answer in that position or quantity.
The best next guess uses all three types of information. Keep confirmed green letters, relocate yellow letters and avoid wasting spaces on letters that have already been ruled out.
How to choose a strong first word
A useful opening guess usually includes common vowels and common consonants without unnecessary repetition. The goal is not always to solve immediately; it is to reveal enough information to make the second and third guesses much stronger.
After the first result, resist entering a random word that ignores known letters. Each guess should test a clear idea about the answer.
Repeated letters and tricky patterns
Five-letter answers can contain repeated letters, which is where many rounds become difficult. If one instance of a letter is confirmed, do not assume there cannot be another. Pay attention to how the game marks multiple copies in the same guess.
Common endings and letter pairs can also narrow the search. Once several positions are known, think in patterns rather than isolated letters.
Use a clue when it is worth the points
Wurdella allows one clue during the early part of the round. The clue can rescue a difficult board, but it reduces the points earned for a win. That makes it most useful when preserving the round matters more than achieving the maximum score.
In multiplayer, clues are private so the current player does not hand the answer to the next competitor.
Play at the right difficulty
Default mode is the natural starting point for most five-letter word fans. Advanced and Expert use more demanding vocabulary, while Kids mode provides a friendlier entry point for younger players and beginners.
