Vowel-rich five-letter words
A five-letter word with three vowel tiles leaves room for only two consonants, which changes the solving problem completely. Instead of hunting broadly for vowels, you usually gain more by identifying where the consonants sit and whether one of the vowels repeats. This list counts A, E, I, O and U tile by tile, while Y remains a consonant.
Order matters here
A signature records only the vowels in the order they appear. AEO and EAO are therefore different shapes, because a board with a green E cannot swap it with an A merely to rescue a possible word.

These words cover a wide vowel range but still depend on two consonants for identity. When several candidates share the same vowels, compare consonant placement rather than playing another vowel-heavy word that repeats information you already possess.
Three vowel tiles can be made from only one or two distinct vowel characters. That distinction matters: a board showing A and E does not prove that the third vowel is new. Quantity feedback and the remaining spelling pattern must decide whether A or E appears again.

Once the board has confirmed a vowel-rich shape, another guess packed with A, E, I, O and U can waste the turn. The two consonants frequently distinguish one family from another, especially when the vowels form a familiar sequence.
