Exact vowel count
Two vowel tiles are common enough to produce a substantial candidate pool, but “two vowels” does not always mean two different vowels. A word with two Es belongs here just as surely as one containing A and O. The count is based on occupied tiles, using A, E, I, O and U; Y stays in the consonant group so the rule remains predictable across every result.

The pair is sorted before counting, so AE includes a word whether A or E appears first. That makes the comparison about membership rather than spelling order; your green and yellow tiles must still determine placement.

Start by eliminating words containing a third counted vowel, then use fixed positions and excluded consonants to reduce the list. A word remains here when both vowel tiles are the same character, so count copies rather than counting only distinct vowel names.

Early round
When the board is empty, a word with two different vowels normally reveals more than a word repeating one. Pair those vowels with three distinct consonants when possible.
Middle round
Once a vowel turns green, stop treating this as a general list. Move to the pattern solver and preserve that exact square while filtering the remaining candidates.
Late round
If a familiar spelling appears to fit but needs another copy of a vowel, verify that the feedback actually supports two. One confirmed vowel does not automatically license a duplicate.
Compare the consonant-heavy one-vowel collection, move up to three vowels or search several constraints together instead of forcing the board to match this category.
