Wurdella game modes: Solo, Daily, Multiplayer, Teams and Challenge a Friend
The puzzle rules stay familiar, but the experience changes dramatically depending on whether you are playing alone, comparing one shared Daily answer, sitting beside friends or challenging somebody on another device. This page explains the current modes without mixing remote and local multiplayer together.
Practice, strategy testing and quick solo play
Single Player
Choose a difficulty and solve at your own pace. Start another board immediately after a result, making Solo the best place to compare opening words, clue habits and solving strategies over several rounds.
Open Single Player →Daily streaks, comparison and shareable results
Daily Challenge
Daily gives every player the same five-letter answer for the same UTC date. It is separate from unlimited play, so you can finish Daily and continue playing regular Wurdella immediately.
Open Daily Challenge →Friends playing from different places
Challenge a Friend
Create a server-backed room, copy the invite link and send it to a friend. Both players join the same synchronized match from their own phones, tablets or computers.
Open Challenge a Friend →Friends, siblings and same-room competitions
Local Multiplayer
Add player names, choose the match target and share one device. Wurdella keeps the active player and round score visible while the group moves through the match together.
Open Local Multiplayer →Families, classrooms and work groups
Teams
Name two teams, add member lists and discuss each board together. Team mode works best when guess ownership rotates so collaboration does not become one confident player controlling every row.
Open Teams →Still deciding?
For one person, start with Solo. For one shared puzzle each day, choose Daily. For a friend on another device, choose Challenge a Friend. For people sharing one device, choose local Multiplayer. For a group that wants to discuss every guess, choose Teams.
