Solo play is ideal for quick breaks, strategy experiments and quiet puzzle sessions. You control the pace, switch difficulty when you want and can immediately start another word after the result.
If you are improving a specific skill, keep the level fixed for several rounds. That makes it easier to see whether average guesses, clue use and solve rate are changing.
Make it competitive with friends
Use local Multiplayer when two to four people share one browser. Use Challenge a Friend when two players are in different places and want a synchronized server-backed match on separate devices.
For larger groups, Team mode turns the board into a discussion game where several people contribute evidence before one final word is submitted.
Daily gives adults a shared puzzle without removing unlimited play
Wurdella Daily uses one shared answer tied to the date, which makes it useful for comparing the same challenge with friends. The Daily clues page offers spoiler-light help and automatically shows the previous seven answers with meanings.
Completing Daily does not end the session. Regular Wurdella remains unlimited, so you can use the shared puzzle as a ritual and still keep playing afterward.
